Shaper is poor, but chalk holder is pretty decent. Actually used the holder on the bike chain and canned the shaper.

Overall, this is a pretty good multi-tool. As a chalker it performs great. It holds the chalk very securely and easily slips in and out of my pockets. Some of the other reviewers have pointed out the rubber connection between the block and the chain as being a potential weak spot but I haven't had any issues after a year of fairly heavy use. The aerator works great. No issues there. The shaper is kind of a love/hate thing for me. It's nice to have the variety of three radii to choose from but I really only use the dime anymore. It works great for fixing minor problems on softer playing tips but it takes forever to make any kind of impact on a hard break tip. It's an even longer process now that the teeth are showing serious signs of wear. I understand that aluminum is lightweight and relatively inexpensive but I would be willing to pay extra for something made out of stainless or high carbon steel.

The quality of the chalker and tip prick are great. I prefer several other products for shaping, but it's nice to have the shaping tools in my pocket for quick, minor fixes while I'm playing.
