The Simonis X-1 is a high-tech felt cleaner that works by static electricity and by capillarity.     I recently traded in my Brunswick Prestige Oak 8 foot for a new blue oval Diamond 8-foot table with simonis 860 tournament blue and wanted the simonis X1. First of all I want to commend ozone on how fast and efficiently they got the X1 to me. I'm very pleased with the X1 as to how easy it is to use and how quickly I can clean my cloth. Ozone had the best shipping and price on the X one that I could find. It is definitely worth the money to be able to clean your table this quickly and efficiently. Once again big shout-out thanks to Ozone I will be using them again on any other future purchases.

    This device really works. After using it on one table, dust/chalk comes off of it when patting it with the hand. I clean 11 Diamonds with it. I prefer to vacuum the X-1 with the brush attachment after using it. Simonis says that you can use the hose without an attachment, but I prefer to use the gentler brush attachment. In theory, this might prolong the life of the pad. And I got tired of getting chalk all over my hands after patting it lol.

    In response to Dave, May 28th, 2017 - Normally I don’t respond to other reviews, but this one caught my eyes. Dave, no disrespect, but the X-1 is not designed to pick up pet hairs. So not giving it a star for that makes no sense at all. No where on the X-1 website did I see any claim that it picked up pet hairs. As was previously mentioned, it is designed to pick up chalk and dust, which it does.

    Works well along the rails and seems to pick up more than a brush but the price is a bit steep.

    Like another reviewer I am using this on Championship cloth. It is working perfectly at removing chalk dust and other minor "specks" that often appear out of nowhere. Because it is so easy and convenient to use it causes me to clean the table more often (often between games) and thus will probably make my cloth last longer. My wife even commented on how much cleaner the table looks now.
