I love my players break jump cue. I don't jump or masse on the table that I play pool. I have always used a house stick to break with a 20 oz one. This check out brakes the house sticks hands down I have made at least one 2 or 3 balls on every break with this dick. I love it thanks ozone for a great product and great service.

I've used this cue a few times now since I've gotten it and I am very happy with the results. I get a nice, consistent break and spread with little effort. For the price, I recommend this cue to anyone looking to explore using a break/jump cue

I purchased this jump-break cue in December of 2016 -- mainly with the purpose of hopefully learning to make jump shots. Prior to receiving the JB5, I had never attempted to make a jump shot. The bottoms of the feet of my pool table at home are elevated about 3.25 inches above the floor. I subsequently discovered that this situation makes it more difficult for me to make jump shots. I was having limited success with attempting jump shots at home. During the first time I took the JB5 cue to the center where I regularly play 9-ball, I subsequently needed to attempt a jump shot. I removed the bottom section of the JB5, made an "air-bridge" and performed a jump shot. The ball jumped over the obstacle ball and proceeded to hit and pocket the target / object ball in a far corner packet. A little later, I needed to make another jump shot, and that resulted in a combination shot which sank the 9 ball for the win. I was very surprised at these results and so was my opponent and some of the other players. I was surprised at how much easier it was to make successful jump shots on a table at regular height -- 3.25 inches lower than my home table.

I like the 14 mm tip on the JB5. I think it helps in making break shots. The JB5 works very well as a break cue. After using the JB5 for about two months, I thought it was a hassle to be frequently removing the bottom of the cue for jump shots and then having to reasssemble it for break shots -- several times per playing session. Subsequently, I purchased a dedicated jump cue which made it even easier to be more consistently successful with jump shots. Now, I just use the JB5 as a break cue.

Received my JB5 in Nov. of 2015. I shoot every week about 5 to 8 hours. Loved to break with it. Now it's March 2016 and I noticed a hair line horizontal crack around the top of the ferrule. It showed up when blue chalk settled in. Also when I run my fingernail down the ferrule I feel the crack as my fingernail passes over it. Since I have had this cue for over 60 days I was past the Ozone Billiards return policy. But fortunately Players has a great warranty. I just mailed this cue today UPS to the Players Warranty Department. It cost me $30 for shipping and $20 for packing materials. Now this cue has cost over $140
I hope I just got a lemon and it's replacement will be reliable. Maybe you do get what you pay for.

  • Good cue for the price

Overall this is a great cue. I get really powerful breaks and my jump shot has significantly improved. My only complaint is that the weight bolt comes loose too often. I carry a hex key in my bag just in case. I'm also contemplating just using some gorilla glue to keep it in place, since I never plan to replace the bolt.
