Upgraded my pool room can't beat the price

  • The wood was really soft in the screw holes. Hard to mount.

I ordered this item on 12/27 and it arrived 1/4. With the Holiday, I guess this is reasonable. The item looks very good from a distance, close up the finish is certainly not that of fine furniture. As others have said, the screws are not long enough to mount this item but longer screws worked well with the basic wall anchors that were provided. The holes where the screws go could be filled with a nice wood cap of some sort but that is not provided. The item at under 12 dollars is well worth the price. The added shipping taking it over 22 dollars makes it less of a bargain. There are no instructions for installation or how far apart the top and bottom should be. That's the critical part of this review....
With those few criticisms, I think the item is still worth the price. To pay more, even if well finished would probably not be worth it. If you are in the least bit handy, the install is super easy. Other than a recommendation of how far apart they should be, I probably would have given any directions only a glance anyway. I always have screws on hand and a longer dry wall screw was all it needed. I, like others, agree I don't need furniture on the floor or an extensive rack for pool cues. I personally like the color which does look rich from a few feet away. If this sounds like something you need, I would say to buy with confidence it serves it's purpose well..
