I love the shaft, alot nicer than the one that came with my Mcdermott originally. Love the soft tip as well, getting way better ball control since buying this shaft.
Doesn't quite line up with my cue I have a I3 as well it lines up perfect. I prefer the I3
good shaft would recommend sending in butt if you want a perfect match but the slight mismatch does not seem to affect play of the cue
I ordered this item March 30. Received it the following Monday, but I guess it was available the previous Friday when I inquired about the tracking of the product. The post office did not send me a card for pick up in my box so I asked and yep they had it. Of course it was pool league night and I just had to break it in first at a friends house. First off it fit the cue perfectly. Secondly, the action on the ball was flawless. This shaft is by far much more forgiving then the G core. I like to play with a smaller tip then the G core. I will next save up for the I 3 but not until I've mastered this one. Thank you Ozone Billiards for every thing you do and have for me to aide me in improving my game. I do tell my friends and team mates about your business in hopes that they will visit your site and gain the rewards like I do.
I had the shaft sent over night shipping and it arrived the next day. I installed it on my MCG210 G core McDermott which was already a great stick. This is a very noticeable upgrade and fit just right on the 210. It's a very well balanced stick that has outstanding cue ball control. The five star rating is for the way it shoots and the great service. Before I shot with it as always I rolled it on the table and it was perfect. Three days and at least 100 games later it wound up warping. I tapped the live help button and within minutes I had a return shipping ticket. Just a few days later my new shaft is on its way back to me with no cost. This is really great service. My son and I have owned McDermott cues for over three years now and I'm confidant that this one shaft was defective and I'm looking forward to getting the replacement back.
This is the 3rd purchase from Ozone and the other two were flawless. This purchase I ordered the shaft with a gold ring and got one that is plain. I decided it makes no difference after using this daily for a couple hours a day since I bought it.
This shaft supplements a GCore I have used for a couple years and far surpasses it. The Kumi soft tip and the I-2 shaft are the perfect pair, as far as I'm concerned. Worth every penny performance wise.
I upgraded to this i-2 from a standard maple shaft. Fit like a glove on my McDermott cue. Took me several weeks to get used to the stiffer, low deflection properties in this shaft. More action on the ball. Came with a medium Moori tip that worked OK but was a little too hard for me and wore down rather quickly. Started to mis-cue. Had a Kumi Black Soft tip installed locally. Combination was great. More spin - english on my shots with less effort and no more mis-cues.
