The McDermott's Stinger Jump Break Cue Black is the top choice for players in jumping and breaking situations. It features the patented Stinger Tip and Ferrule Technology that projects downward through a hole in the center of the ferrule. On impact, the shock of the hit goes to the center of the tip, and then down the stinger, transmitting the impact directly to the center of the shaft. This results in a very efficient and very precise hit. Also featured is the enormous "sweet spot". Because the Stinger technology takes the hit energy to the center of the shaft regardless of where you hit the tip, our tip can be much flatter than typical break cues. The flatter profile causes the Stinger tip to have a huge "sweet spot". You can miss-hit by quite a bit and still get the result you intended. Play like a pro with the Stinger Technology - Jump Easier, Break Harder, Shoot More Accurate and Play with Control. The Stinger NG06 Jump Break Cue Features:

  • Black paint with yellow "Stinger" graphic overlay
  • Patented Stinger Shaft
  • Phenolic Tip
  • 3/8 x 10 Main Joint with Phenolic Insert
  • Quick Release Jump Joint
  • No Wrap
  • Lifetime Warranty

My daughter boyfriend wanted an inexpensive break stick. Let me tell you I have been shooting pool for over 30 years and this stick is great for the quality to dollar value. I use a McDermott $25 jump butt with a spare Intimidator I-2 shaft with a Samsara break tip ( I wen’t with this tip since before 2011 Phenolic or Carbon fiber one piece tip/ferrule were illegal)
Using this $112 dollar jump and break stick started to surprise me. In about three hours of practicing jump shots exclusively, I got pretty good control of top and bottom and limited control of left and right English. So I put the shat on my $25 McDermott jump butt which is slightly lighter and thinner and got even better results. Take-away Intimidator I-2 shaft is not the best choice for a jump shaft and MCS2 works great for jumping. Breaks very good as well. I was absolutely astounded at how well it did quick jumps, obstacle ball two to three inches from cue ball and how easy it was to somewhat master. Great stick even at a higher price.
