  • Outstanding Cue Tips

Posted by Dave Hansen on May 12th 2017

These are excellent cue tips. I have 8 very nice 2 piece cue sticks on my wall rack (Players – Brunswick – etc.) and my own personal Schon cue. After installing a 1974 vintage 6100 series Gold Crown pool table 4 months ago, I've been practicing and trying to get my game back to where it was in the 1980s. After four months of consistent aggravating miscues on draw shots, I ordered up 10 Elk Master soft 14 mm Q-tips, some Master Chalk, and a CueTech multi function shaping and perforating tool. After installing the first one on my Schon, and shaping it with the Cue Tech multi function tool, I played so well with it, that I installed an Elk Master tip on every cue on the wall, and now I run racks out with every one of them !!
When installing these tips, make sure that you first sand the blue chalk off of the bottom !! Then use Loctite gel glue to install them. Hold the tip in place for 30 seconds and you're done and ready to trim. Shape the tip about the roundness of a nickel or dime, and make sure that you dress the tip every 20 or 30 games to make sure that it holds a good layer of chalk. Do this by using a good perforating tool. Then your miscue problems for the most part will be a thing of the past.

  • Very Nice Tip

This cue tip is great for beginners. I just started getting into the game of pool and used these tips to replace a set of cues that were given to me. There was a huge difference in play before and after replacing the cue tips with these. I highly recommend!

  • They're OK

    They sure are INEXPENSIVE.
    Great for House Cues.
I've had them come apart on me a few times.

I wouldn't recommend them to a friend who is SERIOUS about playing pool.

  • very good tip
