This cue could have been designed for me. Simple and elegant design with a linen wrap. I was concerned the Shane Van Boening signature would be garish, but it is small and discrete and gives a little added touch. The shaft is just about perfect for me; super smooth, long and straight taper, and it comes with a nice and ready to play tip. An all around great playing shaft on a well balanced cue. The Sapphire Blue color is a perfect match for my Metallic Blue extension. To me the cue looks better in person then in pictures I've seen. A word on the weight system. They are stackable and easily removable. If you are unsure of which cue weight to order I would order the higher weight and remove the half Oz weights if you want to lighten the cue. My cue weighed 20 Oz on my kitchen scale and 19Oz with two weights removed. I love this cue.
