This set contains highly valuable content for all levels of player. You will have to fast forward through many sections as "Dr. Cue tends to be highly verbal in his descriptions and most of us don't need the level of detail provided. Despite this, there is a great deal of truly rich content. This set is a must have for any aspiring player.

Things they should have taught you in pool school

In this somewhat dated video, Dr. Cue does things in a very methodical fashion and does an excellent job of demonstrating different important concepts. It would have been nice had he given the viewer a diagram of where exactly he is hitting the ball on some of the basic shots. What one will find is that it takes a lot of practice to execute a lot of the kick and banking shots. Overall this is a great value for three DVDs and will give you more information than you can possibly digest. That being said I found this to be one of the better instructional dvds on the market. Most of what Dr. Cue demonstrates is really important stuff but you have to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE to make them work in a game. I just used some of the basic kicking techniques in my latest match and it worked.

This is an excellent learning DVD for kicks and banks. Dr. Cue is an expert in billiards and explains most of the techniques in full detail. The one section I had a hard time following was his explanation of a couple of the 3-bank techniques, although I like his method for estimating the english for the various angles. If you haven't seen Dr. Cue in action before, a good preview of his teaching style, personality, likability, and general knowledge can be found on the APA youtube video library (just youtube "Dr. Cue APA". He is easy to understand, makes the information easy to digest, has a wonderful sense of humor, and generally makes the video hard to not watch from beginning to end. He truly is an ambassador to our sport, and I consider myself lucky to own one of his videos.

This is a grate dvd I've been playn for 3 years playn 5-6-7 days a week I thought I knew a lot about the game I was wrong this dvd showed me new ways to wrom up new ways to shoot and to control my english more I will be watchn this dvd till it quits on me.

Dr. Cue is a very knowledgeable person that makes the shots he teaches. He covers everything in detail. Still watching over & over to make sure I caught it all. Good DVD's.

The MONK 202 three video instructional courses by Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman is the best pool playing video I've ever seen! The first video establishes an understanding of table terminology, kicking (cue ball hits a rail then the object ball) and banking (cue ball hits the object ball into a rail). He goes into an easy detailed method of calculating kicking & banking shots, so they can be mastered quickly. The second video goes into 2 & 3 cushions kicking, and the third video takes on 4 & 5 cushions kicking.

THESE DVDS ARE A MASTER COURSE TO LAST A LIFETIME

Brilliant but a little slow in the first dvd. When you get to the 3rd dvd you will be flying. Just watching the masterly and artful execution of some of the shots on this series is enough to get me up and out of bed on a freezing winter morning or late night to run over to the pool hall and practice, practice, practice.
They are to be worked with and not just watched. Though if a spouse asks "Why are you so obsessed with Pool?" Just have them watch the 3rd dvd in this serries and you will be buying them a cue of their own in no time flat.
Now I am off to the Pool room for a few hours of play,practice and the sport of pool.
