the hole for chalking is to small,I feel like I'm going to scratch the ferruleon the cue.

This plastic case protects the chalk from being crushed or broken, and keeps the chalk from marking the inside of your cue case. The downside is that if you use it all the way through the chalk, the plastic will come into contact with the cue ferrule and chalk mark or scratch it.
