I'm a big fan of having black chalk and also Silver Cup chalk, so i jumped when i browsed through cue accessories and stumbled upon the Silver cup black chalk. It give the tip a very nice jet black coating and doesn't come off very easily, even when a miscue occurs, but miscues are rare when using this chalk.

Wow!! We are used to other chalks and this is better. We have black felt on our table and prefer our chalk to be black. It is!! Very gritty and adheres well.

It's difficult to give a review on the quality of chalk...it's just chalk. Black chalk is a must with black felt...just remember that it is sold by the dozen.

Although i find the caulk to be excellent, the black trails left on the cue ball, that so far I have not been able to eradicate, are not. I think after a bit of use I will have to either change out my cue for another, or change out this chalk.
Sticky chalk, has very good friction to play. Not impressed with black marks on cue that so far have stained the cue.
I think I would try another brand, to see if the cue marking is a function of the black chalk for all brands.

I play in the APA amateur Pool League and always used the pool halls chalk and just recently bought a pool table with black felt and found Silver Cup Chalk on Ozone Billiards web site�tried it out and all I could say is WOW it stays on the Cue Tip Very well and now I see why Professional Pool Players only use this chalk.

If you get black felt, this chalk is a must it prevents stains of chalk on your dark black felt from shooting with lighter color chalks. Silver cup is the best.
