Works well when you get used to it. Manufacturer could have enclosed more specific and graphic directions.

Not as good as hoped
By Jeff from Bakersfield, California on April 27, 2012

You can't press down all the way or it will separate the front ball from the next one on the right. It can be done with practice, you just have to start by pressing down on the back, then with half a press leaning forward it will produce a decent rack.
Sardo M-5000
By Randall from Kuna, Idaho on April 14, 2012

This rack performs as advertised and gives a good rack everytime. Where the corner posts are inserted into the plastic body, however, there are cracks but they do not go through to the outside. Called Ozone and they report back that this is normal and should not be a problem. Time will tell. I still recommend this product line but think the M3000 may be a better deal.

Does The Job Well!

Happy with the Sardo rack after being a bit skeptical at first. Better break results than with the standard wood rack

wasn't sure what to expect as i'm from the old school of shooting pool but as it turned out it is way beyond my wildest thoughts thank you so much for the timely way in which you handled my order as we use the sardo each and every day.

Perfect rack every time you rack

The rack is okay
By Alan from Las Vegas, NV on January 31, 2011

I am a little disappointed as I was expecting a perfect rack every time. It definitely does better than most other racks, but it still tends to leave space between some of the balls. For $70, I was expecting more.
Easy to use
By Julie from , on December 29, 2010

This rack is both easy to use and eliminates the need to reset if balls drift using a standard rack. Also provides for more explosive breaks.
I would recommend this item to a friend.

no more bad racks

nice rack
By John D. from Tempe, AZ on July 20, 2010

the only flaw i saw with the sardo rack was that i have a dark blue felt and it is nearly impossible to see any markings that i lay down to set the rack. My racks are very tight and fair for all players. both 8 ball and 9 ball work.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Sardo Tight Rack
By Jason from , on June 18, 2010

I have mixed feelings about this rack. It works very well so performance isn't an issue at all. The price is the problem considering with a little practice it's not that difficult to rack the balls tightly with a conventional rack. I'm going to recommend it because it does what it says it will but if your on a budget and want to spend your pool allowance there are other things you could spend it on.

Good product and not as expensive as others but does the same as the more expensive products of it's kind.
Does exactly what you need!
By Shanda from Los Angeles, CA on February 23, 2010

Any way you want to rack the balls can be easily done with the Sardo. The Sardo is easy to use and leaves every rack tight. Great product!
I LOVE IT!
By EDWIN from BUENA PARK, CALIFORNIA on February 6, 2010

I PURCHASE DONS RACK AND THIS RACK AND I LOVE BOTH OF THEM.
SINCE RECEIVING THE SARDO, IT HAS BECOME THE MOST USED.
I DIDN'T EXPERIENCE THE FIRST MODELS, BUT I LIKE THIS ONE.
ONLY COMPLAINT; NO CASE FOR THE MONEY INVESTED?
Tight rack, but could be built better
By Brad from San Antonio, TX on December 17, 2009

The description said it's lighter than the older ones, I think that may work to its disadvantage. The rack needs to be in the proper place before you start moving balls into it, and it's so light that it moves around if you quickly toss them in. I can live with that, but each 'pin' is basically two pieces of plastic with a spring between them. One of the plastic pieces is simply glued to the frame, and on about my 5th rack the glue came loose and the spring hit me in the face. Can be re-glued, but if you look at what this product actually is (molded plastic and springs) the price charged seems a bit silly.
Pricey but effective
By william coburn from virginia on November 26, 2009

I have the older model and have not tried the latest version. Its performs as advertised providing a totally consist rack. You may be able to rack as tight but not as consistently as this device. Great for competition but still is an expensive toy as it may not be used every day.
Pros:
Easy to use after the table is marked. Once experienced it can be as fast as manual racking.Cons:
Requires small marks on the felt for true alignment.Tight Rack
By Brian on October 7, 2009

Does what it is supposed to but not sure it is worth the price. Your fingers and a plastic or wooden rack work just as well in my oppinion.
Pros:
Produces a tight rack.Cons:
Cost$$$
