Cheap nice gimmick

Looks OK - but practically speaking is it really needed?
If you're not careful (like my son) then you push the bottom off the holder when chalking and spend more time fiddling to slide it back in than actually chalking.
But it's a cheap conversation piece that all adds to the fun ambience of the pool room.

I leave this one in my carrying case as a nice way to transport chalk without getting it all over everything. I would recommend one of these for any player that would want to take a piece of chalk with them for a night at the pool halls. Chalk fits in nice and snug so it won't rattle around or break once inside the plastic case. Can't beat the price!
