I have an inexpensive stick I bought when I was 17 years old. That was 43 years ago. The shaft is warped and it has a few dents and I have no idea who made it. But in my hands it's as comfortable as an old pair of jeans and I wouldn't think to give it up. My son became interested in the game and started using my old stick so I thought I would get him something decent to play with as a gift. I started shopping and discovered I might be able to find a replacement shaft for mine. After measuring every part of my stick and reading everything there was about them, I bought this Players replacement shaft.
The new shaft is straight and true but it was awfully tight trying to thread onto my cue. I have a full tap&die set at my disposal so I ran a 5/16x18 tap up it as far as it would go. I could tell it was tight on the tap but the tap cleaned the threads out perfectly. Now it fits as it should and it feels great in my hands. I ordered it with an optional soft tip which feels great but if I see a need for something harder I'll get another one of these shafts and swap them depending on the shot. It's a good shaft at a great price.

Works fine. Fits my player cue. Much straighter, only took a couple days to get cue. Tip is good, price was right.
