The OB Classic Shaft is a high performance shaft that has the same low deflection
characteristics the OB-1 and OB-2 shafts are known for but with a solid
wood core instead of the no sound dampening foam core and a white plastic
ferrule instead of the laminated maple ferrule. Built with the already proven SR6 construction
and developed
with the right materials and design to provide players with their demand of low
cue ball squirt. This Classic shaft has a stronger and much stiffer feel than
the previous OB line with a taper of 12.75mm then topped with an
Everest
tip by Tiger Products.

For me there is no longer any guess work involved, within reason every shot, regardless of where you strike whitey, the cue ball rolls straight. All the guess work has left the game for me. I would recommend this item to a friend. OB Classic Shaft Jim from Louisville on June 21, 2010 Very fast and free shipping from Ozone Billiards. Shaft plays very well. It feels like one of the splines of wood is raised just a bit though. I am not going to send it back for this as I have already put my matching ring on it, but you can tell that it is raised a bit (right where the bridge hand holds the shaft). I think it hits very well, and I believe once I get used to it from a regular maple shaft, I will really like it.
