My husband loves his Christmas present. . .it is exactly what he wanted. The graphite is slick, so you never have to chalk your hands, and everything else about it is just right!

I'm just returning to regularly shooting pool and wanted a good starter cue. I liked the idea that I could adjust the weight and have found that to be of great value in getting my stroke back. It looks and feels like a much more expensive cue than it is and I'm already doing better than I expected. I only wish it had come with a softer tip.

This Minnesota Fats Hustler 18.5 to 20.5 ounce adjustable weight Graphite cue is fantastic. The beautiful burgundy color is really an eye catcher too. It features graphite bonded to hard rock maple incorporating a resin core Tri-Tech construction, stainless steel joints, high tech grip and 58” overall two piece magnificently finished stick. It has a perfect nickel radius shaped Le Pro tip and standard 13mm taper shaft. The cue is a genuine steal for the cost, since the construction is fabulous. No other pool cue manufacturer markets a better competitively priced cue stick. CueTec or Fury fiberglass and graphite cues are marketed at two to seven times Minnesota Fats recommended selling prices.

I wanted a cue with a variable weight. I found that the heavier weight ( 21oz) has worked out better for me than the 19oz McDermott cue that I bought as my first cue. The balance has a heavier feel in the butt and it feels like I have better control. I paid three times as much for my first cue because I thought that a $40 cue was "too cheap to be good" ... but I was wrong. I highly recommend that a first time buyer go with this cue. It gives them the chance to try out different weights before committing to a "better" (fancier-different-whatever) cue if they prefer something different.
This is the cue that I am sticking with.
