Incredible Cue! Louis from Napanoch, NY on July 13, 2012 I just received my new McDermott (G208) G Series (Grey Italian Pearl Rings) cue with the G-Core shaft today. It totally rocks! Wow! It's awesome. It has a softer hit than my previous playing cue and I feel like I have much more control with this cue. It feels perfect. I practiced with it for about 3 hours (so far) tonight, and I really love this cue. The G-core shaft is all that McDermott (and Ozone) says it is. Ozone turned the shaft down to 12.75 for me (and did it with their legendary lightning speed and absolute professionalism) and when I stroke this cue, it glides effortlessly and shoots straight as an arrow.
The cue has two Italian Pearl rings and they are absolutely beautiful. It also has some brass rings and they are beautiful too. The cue is a little darker, and not quite as bright a red, as it appears in the pictures on Ozone's website. But it is redder than a burgandy and looks really nice. The wrap has red specks mixed in with the black Irish Linen and that is a nice touch too.
I have never played with a McDermott cue before, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I couldn't be more pleased. This is the best cue I've ever played with thus far and I'm so glad I bought it.
I placed my order Tuesday night and it was here this morning (Friday). Two and a half days, and that is with the shaft turndown (that Ozone did for free with the purchase of this cue). Everytime I order anything from Ozone, it always arrives incredibly fast. Ozone rocks. And so does this amazing cue.

Great balance, and looks even better. Put a Kamui SS black on it, and I couldn't be happier. Joint is metal on wood, not sure how long that will last, but it plays great for now.
