Very satisfied
By AJ from Arkansas on February 6, 2013

This is a magnificent stick for a Great price!
My only worry I had was that it would not be what I expected and not be delivered on schedule.
I was honestly worried for nothing. The G core shaft has held up to its reviews and my stick was at my house 2 days later prior to ordering! FREE shipping and easy tracking was made available! Very happy with ozone billiards. No complaints what so ever!

Beautiful, classic cue; good value
By Wade from Tuscaloosa, AL on January 21, 2013

I've played a few hundred racks now with this since purchase a few weeks prior.
Visually: I like the classic look of the cue. I was going for classy & simple, yet beautiful, and I'm happy with what I received. I get compliments on the look.
Play: Out of the box, it took me 50 racks or so really get it played in. I've been playing Everest tips for the better part of a year now - and liked that it was the standard tip on this cue - but they do have a break in period. Out of the box, I had to deal with a slight "spongy" hit with poor action...but it does play in, and once it does, it is a great tip & seems to work well as a pair with the G-Core shaft. My deflection is minimal (I don't consciously compensate...has to be tiny). The hit is firm but pleasant and I get good feedback.
Other: The shaft came ready to play; the tip was just slightly flatter than nickel radius and thus needed a little shaping (normal)...I did wait until I had 25-30 racks on the tip before I shaped it so it was nice and firm. Ozone did a great job with the engraving...exactly what I hoped it would look like. I will say the G-Core shaft tends to chalk-stain a bit more than other cues I've played just under the ferrule. Nothing that a little weekly clean/polish can't fix but it is noticable and will require a little maintenance.
Value: This is my first $200+ cue, so I can't compare it much with others. I will say, however, that I am very happy with the cue now that I've played it in and would recommend it to others shopping in this price range. There simply isn't anything I'm unhappy about. McDermott's lifetime maintenance warranty puts this cue in "very good value" range for me. My game has improved with the G-Core shaft, which seems like a good performer for it's market/cost. If you can catch the G-Series in stock, I say it's a great value and you'll very likely be pleased with your purchase.
(Skill level: Competitive mid-level amateur / home table play).

Very good pool cue and value. The tip could have been shaped better.

Excellent cue and service
By Wylie F Yates Jr from Lenexa KS on December 10, 2010

This company is one of the best internet sellers I have had the pleasure dealing with. I recommend them to everyone I talk to or who asks about the cues and books that I have bought. Super service super fast shipping. Always ready to be of service.
Minor mistakes sometimes happens though. My last cue was under weight, a local cue guy added weight for $5, I would not have sent it back, due to they are still the best and I know they would of fixed it, but it was such a minor thing. AND I really like the cue as it was, note I still rated them a 5.
