I would recommend this item to a friend. Not what I expected from McDermott Robert from Binghamton, NY on June 3, 2011 First off I have to say it feels pretty balanced. The shaft seemed to be drilled a little off center. I tested this as the shaft is off center on this cue and my other McDermott, but my other two shafts are flush on both. The red stain is a little splotchy in spots as it was darker or lighter in various locations. Overall, this stick plays OK, it plays much better with one of my other shafts than it did with the stock shaft. I bought this stick for my APA team members to use who don't have a stick of their own, and because it DOES play better than a house stick... I am keeping it
