The new Kamui Black tips are here!, more durable and  plays better than the other tips around the game. These are made of 10 layers of specially selected pig skin and have a a moisture proof tannin process giving the tip a black color and making it humidity resistant. This process does not interfere with the porosity of the tip and it adds more elasticity while protecting it from the environment. The Kamui Black tip will allow more spin on the cue ball without overexerting yourself and the same ability to grip onto the chalk which transfers to gripping the cue ball. Comes in 4 different grades: soft, super soft, medium, and hard. Available in 14mm size only.

Same old Kamui
By Jack from , on February 20, 2014
Big fan of the feel of the Kamui black soft. I intend to get a kamui clear soft for next time, but that's probably a year away at this point.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

good tip for control
By Elias from Chicago, IL on February 19, 2014
Been using kamui tips for a year or so, helps in controlling cue ball. Only problem is that tip seems to glaze over quickly requiring periodic scuffing.

Bought two soft and ss. Both are a great tip. I like ss tip.

want to try the ss
By Jed from Northern California on January 15, 2014
The only reason I gave it 4stars is cause I want to try the super soft. I've used tiger tips and the traditional kamui med brown but dam the soft black is awesome. I put it on my ikon 7 z2shaft and holy cow it's amazing. Took me a few weeks to get used to compared to the harder hitting med I had before. I don't think I would try anything else but the black kamuis or moori tips.

First product rated a 5
By Piney from South Jersey Shore on January 13, 2014
I always thought that to pay some of the dumb prices for high end tips was...dumb. The only higher priced tip that I was familiar with over a long term was Mori. The Mori is good, the Kamui is dangerous. I bought an Intimidator shaft and it came with a Kamui soft. I can do some crazy things with this tip...I can consistently win. Winning is fun!

Great Tip
By woodrow from , on January 10, 2014
Great tip. I've had three Kamui soft tips and don't think I will ever go to anything else. Forgiving, accurate, easy to shape, and durable. I don't go through a lot of tips because I don't play as often as I used to, or as I would like to, I should say. So I go with the soft so it holds up to the test of time. Holds it's shape and chalk, absorbs impact, and spins the ball with accuracy like no other I have used, and I've used pretty much all of them. Yea, it costs a few bucks, but it's like comparing a Cadillac to a KIA, you get what you pay for.

Amazing tip

Don't know if it will live up to it's reputaion
By steve from Kalgoorlie West Australia on December 12, 2013
Have only just put tip on my cue and it's great. One problem is, I have to now learn to play with this new tip that is getting so much more grip. I'm no professional but I can see the potential on how the tip can & will improve my game. At the moment the soft tip is on a pool cue that cost me only $55-00. Using el cheapo chalk at the moment, Masters billiard chalk( grey). Bearing that in mind scary to think what the super soft will do & with good chalk

After using Le Pro and Triangle tips for years, thought I'd change it up a bit. This is an excellent tip.

perfect
By thomas from woodland, IL on May 21, 2013
only tip I will ever use for normal play. not "mushy" at all but somehow still grips the ball for insane action not too far from that of the super soft, which actually is a bit on the "mushy" side.

I love this tip.

First Time using a soft tip
By Pog from NJ on April 30, 2013
This was the first soft tip I've ever used. I normally used a Moori medium. I didn't care for the tip so much but I'm sure it's a quality tip, pricey though.

Kamui is the best...
By David from Oak Creek, WI on April 18, 2013
4th Kamui black tip and I keep coming back! The only tip I've tried that matches up is the new Predator Victory tip. But It's a toss up. They are both great! Soooo far above all other tips that in my opinion the others may as well not exist. You cannot go wrong with this tip!!!

I really like the Kamui tip. I think I might try the medium next time, but this is working out very nicely for right now

Black tar marks
By Dan from Ocala Fl on January 25, 2013
I fell for the hipe and bought the soft. First off it is real hard and hard to shape by hand. I had to use a grind stone. On the good side it holds it shape. On the bad side it leaves black tar marks on the cue ball and they are hard to get off. I think I will stick with Le Pro tips

Scary

Feels great
By Daniel from Bellingham, WA on July 19, 2012
The soft Kamui Black...it handles well and feels great. Only problem I had with it was during the install...if only Ozone sold them in 13mm...shaving it down by hand has proven to be a major pain.

Great Tips!
By Randy from , on July 5, 2012
I could possibly be mental, but I swear these tips make a difference in my game! I use my other cues with regular leather tips, and just don't get as good of contact with the cue when attempting strong English shots, and my cue control just seems to shine using these tips. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!!

Awsome Tips
By Scott from Highland, IN on May 29, 2012
This tip is well worth the money. They wear very well and will last a long time. The ball control with them is unreal. Highly recommended for anyone serious about there game.

Great tip
By Ole Hustler from Lake Charles, LA on April 9, 2012
I have been playin pool 45 years and this is first time I tried this "new age tip". All I can say is amazing!! I have had to adjust my game somewhat because I am getting much more spin on the cue ball. With this tip I can draw the cue all the way up and down the table with ease.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Not as great as I thought
By Mihn from Houston, TX on February 16, 2012
I thought I could do some serious draw back when I have this tip. However, I was wrong. I cannot see any differences in draw back between this tip and the kamui hard tip besides that it is soft. It does absorb your strength and power so if you're trying to hit the cue ball hard, it will not go as hard as a normal tip.

Kamui Black Tip Disappoints
By Ron from Illinois on December 2, 2011
I'm using a Predator 314-2 shaft and when it came time to replace the tip I decided to try the much talked about Kamui black tip. Because the Kamui tips tend to be harder than thier name suggests (Kamui Soft is more like a typeical hard Medium or a Hard) I went with the Soft. From all of the hype about Kamui, and reviews I had read, I was expecting great things. I was going to draw better than ever before and do table length stop shots with ease. I'm not a great player but occasionally enjoy a break and run out in Eight Ball. Right away I noticed that I was only getting about 70% of the draw I would normally get. Then I tested a few shots I drill wtih -- cue ball in center of table and object ball an inch off of the second diamond on the long rail -- and target putting the cue ball on the opposite long rail at various diamonds. Normally, a half tip of outside english would pull the cue ball back one diamond, a full tip would bring the cue back two diamonds, a tip of bottom left would get me three diamonds back. Well, with the Kamui tip everything was a half tip off. I have to use a full tip where, with my last tip, a half tip would do the job. All shots required more draw and more english than before. So, for shots not requiring a lot of draw or english, the Kamui is OK. But, when a shot is more demanding, which happens a lot when you don't get excellent position, everything seems more difficult with the Kamui. I have to hit the draw shots lower and harder and, I have to use more english, all of which increases the risk of a missing the shot. So, my personal experience is that the Kamui tip makes me work harder to accomplish the same things I was doing before and has not helped me improve my game at all.

I know people have complained that the Kamui tips are expensive. Considering the hours we spend trying to improve our games, I wasn't concerned if I paid $5 for a tip or $20 for a tip. But, I don't like paying a premium for a tip and find that if was a move backwards. Supposedly, these tips last a LONG time, and after three weeks of play (approx. 50 hours total) there is no evidence of mushrooming. I'm not sure I'll test it's longgevity as I may contact Predator and find out what tip they originally used and go back to using that (possibly a Mori?). I'm going to give it a few more weeks but, so far, I'm not impressed.

Kamui Black Leather Tips
By Wlilliam J Hurst from Crawfordville, Florida on August 26, 2011
The buzz about these tips is true. They are now my number one choice over Moori(still a close second). My favorite are the soft Black Kamui, but whichever type of tip you prefer-try these!

Kamui Black Soft Tip

Replaced the tip that came on my predator 314 shaft and am really liking this tip. Holds chalk well, excellent feel, and good control.

More Medium than Soft
By oddball from Houston on August 15, 2011
At least, from what I'm used to. This tip won't even flex or dent when trying to indent with a thumbnail pressed hard into it. How could that be considered "Soft?" While it's not as hard as many I've seen, I would consider this tip a Medium, or Medium/Hard to be more realistic. It does finish smooth and flat to the ferrule, and even buffs to a nice shine. It's that hard!

It does soak up some energy from using for break, so I use a house stick for breaking now. Like I said, Medium would be generous for a tip this hard.

Awsome
By James from Centerville, MA. on April 4, 2011
Put this on my break cue it get action off the break. This works with any angle you break from and the ball doesn't fly off the table. Keep using it to run out too. Broke around 30 racks with it and I didn't notice any mushroom or pitting.

I got this tip as an upgrade to the Players 960 cue. Long story short, won the first 11 games I played with it and 14 of my first 17 games, all against APA 4-6 ranked players. I'm a 4. So yes I am happy with this purchase.

Switched from an Everest tip to the Kamui, and I love it. The Kamui Black S has a softer hit than the Everest, without feeling like a marshmallow. Great action off whitey with this tip. Table length power draws are effortless. Would recommend this tip to anyone and everyone.

Great tip so far. No mushrooming after a few weeks. Holds chalk well and has good feedback and good feel. Soft tip feels like a medium in other brands.

By Trent from Joseph City, AZ on April 21, 2010
I love this tip I bought the soft tip and you get way more draw, forward spin and english with this tip and do it with way less effort and Ozone is the cheapest place I could find to get them. Thanks one again Ozone
