Burnishes great!!! if not careful it stains the ferrule!! I used on Kamui Black tip. This product has a dark orange color something to consider for brown tips or other clear color tips. It comes with a leather piece which is a great to complete the job.

Stains the Ferrule!!
October 23, 2011
Used it once, won't ever use it again. It stains he ferrule!! Burnishes fine if you don't mind the ugly orange ring around the top of you ferrule. Use water like the professionals do. It won't stain anything and burnishes great! The only reason I'm giving it one star is becasue the leather piece is a great piece of burnishing leather. But any piece of leather wil do. Use the unfinised back side of the leather not the finished side for burnishing. I do all my tips and tips for all my friends that I play pool with and most of the people in our pool league. Make sure that the person that is doing your tips is using a lathe. Many of them say that they do but actually don't. There is no way to insure that your ferrule is perfectly true or that the tip is shaped exactly centered, unless it's being done on a lathe. I bought just about every gadget and gizmo on the market before I built a lathe. It truly is the best! Can do all type of repairs including ferrule replacement, shaft sanding and cleaning, waxing, wraps, etc.

Quick & Easy Porper Tip Touch Burnisher
January 30, 2011
This is more convenient than Tigers Liquid Burnisher, since it doesn't require the use of a lathe. Simply carefully dab the liquid on the edge of the tip sparingly with a Q-Tip and burnish with the leather round. You may also use the Porper Tip Burnisher to get a nicely finished job too.

Works well

Does a good job hardening the cue tips but I had a hard time buffing the tip to that shinny finish I like. I used a tip burnishing tool to get the results I wanted.

Be Creful
October 20, 2008
Extreme care must be taken not to let any of the liquid to make contact with the ferrule. This is an extremely dark liquid that will perminantely stain the ferrule immediately upon contact. It does what it claims as far as a burnishing compound but be extremely careful using it.
