Cue sticks have protective coating that needs to be sanded off

I noticed someone said the cue sticks were medium quality. I got mine and noticed they didn't sound right when hitting the ball, then looking at the tips noticed they have a shiny coating which is why they hit the ball with a strange sound. I sanded the tips with sandpaper and it works much better. I did find the bumpers a little hard but have no experience with bumper pool, is that normal? The tables are very nice looking and the price is the best I could find anywhere. Also, the cues are two piece so I plan to store mine in the table when not being used.

I was nervous about making a large purchase via the internet. Ozone customer service was excellent and helpful to alleviate my concerns. the game table arrived when it was raining so the driver helped me to place it in my garage (I was nervous about the indication of curb delivery but the driver did not have any problem with placing it in the garage). The table is sturdy and looks great. I have a small area and it is a perfect fit. I did a lot of research on tables and this is the best quality for the price. The pool sticks are medium quality so I purchased 2 additional sticks on ozone.
