Nice stick. My wife bought it to start playing pool. I wanted her to start with a pro taper and a good tip. This stick fit the bill. It feels nice when shooting and the tip has very good control. Great stick for the price. You really cant go wrong with this one.

This Dufferin 100% Canadian maple cue features a protective damage resistant finish. It incorporates a Red Ash Butt and Forearm, 13mm Laminated Leather Tiger Everest Tip, Black with Red Specks Nylon Wrap and 1 Year Warranty. A 19 ounce cue was ordered but it arrived with a 2 ounce weight making it a 20 instead; however, the bolts are easy to change so it's not a problem. Item D222 Dufferin Red Ash pool cue.

I was looking for a good cue that guests could use and not think I cut down tree limbs in the yard for them to use. The wood grain is deep clear and smooth. It doesn't look like a cheap stick like other cues I've seen that actually cost more. The pieces lock-up tight and feel solid when breaking. You might want a more expensive cue, but you don't need one. You could give this cue as a gift and still be able to look your friend in the eye. Nothing is perfect, but I gave it the extra star because I bought it on sale and that make it almost.

Though I first started shooting pool around 43 years ago, I had not actually owned my own cue until a few years ago, and while I enjoyed using it playing with my son, who is a serious shooter, I had to acknowledge that there were things that I could not do with it. This new Dufferin cue, though, is right on the money. Since purchasing it, I have a lot more confidence in my shot and much better control in achieving position, or as my son would say, shape. Quality is great, the price was right, and it just so happens to be a stunner in terms of look, as an added bonus.
