Just a few drops of this product on my Q wiz pad , that is wet and rub my shaft to remove any stains and dirt . Wipe down the shaft with soft cloth and apply Silk product for final step . You will like the feel now !

I purchased this in combination with Cue Silk. I had a pretty dirty shaft and this really took off the chalk that was on the shaft and with the Cue Silk, returned my cue shaft to new again.

Simply amazed with this product... couldn't believe how clean EVERY shaft i used it on became... I started with a q-wiz pad (both sides) then the sil kleen, then a porpers polisher pad, then the cue silk... my shafts are almost better than new...

This may or may not be obvious to others, but when I bought Sil Kleen, I wasn't aware that it had some abrasive particles within the liquid to clean the shaft. Rub some of the liquid between your fingers, and you'll feel it. The thing is, if you're not careful, you might end up sanding down your shaft. I kept wondering why my shaft felt grainy after using Sil Kleen, and finally after wiping down my shaft with a lightly damp cloth, I found that some of those abrasive particles managed to stay on the shaft after application. I would definitely recommend using a polisher after Sil Kleen because it seems to raise the grain of the wood, even though the fact that it's liquid might lead you to believe otherwise. I would highly recommend using the Q-Wiz instead (or in addition), and I should also note that Cue Silk is made by the same company and a totally different liquid (not abrasive) and is good for finishing your cleaning job.

I bought two bottles of this stuff and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was suprised when it cleaned all the chalk residue off of the ferules and shafts of all my sticks. They all looked like new even the cheap house cues I keep around for guest to use. I will definitely stick with this product.

I cleaned the shaft after smoothing it with a different product, and it turned out great and without issue.
I used a cotton towel with the Sil Kleen.
