This process creates the only true liquid resistant fabric. If you spill something on it the liquid will just bead up. When I first laid the felt out on the table, I thought it was going to be too narrow, Only about 1/2" overhang on each side. However, I quickly learned that it was more than enough when I put the stretch to it. Great product and the table not only looks great but the ball rolls very true.
