Banks that don't go but do DVD

While I was impressed with the knowledge of the author and many of the techniques I felt that there was too much what I would call repetition. The same shot done a little differently. Vol 2 was a disappointment because it almost mirrored Vol 1.
Not sure if I would recommend it or not.

The Beard's DVDs
By Scott Henry from Wadsworth, OH on September 26, 2010

This and Banking with the Beard The Movie are somewhat demonstrative, but short on instructional details. Needed and missing are overhead views of his shots. You can't even see the cue tip contact point. It is always hidden by the ball itself. Because of the lack of details, it is frequently hard to duplicate the shots demonstrated (doing what he SAYS). One can benefit from considering the tips of English, quarter diamond, and quarter ball fractions, but you have to be creative using your own style, while accepting what works and what seems impossible using some of his tip combinations. He's a great player, but suffers in the instructional end of things. I will keep trying to apply these concepts, though, hoping that growing skill will finally bring them to my reach!
