The Basics of Pool Billiards Book Vol. 1 was written by David Alfieri a
German National Pool Champion and Uwe Sander the a European Wide Pool Champion
both licensed trainers from the BCA (Billiard Congress of America). It teaches
the basics of pool to a beginner in simple and effective ways so that anybody
can understand. Based on the knowledge of Jerry Briesath probably the world's
best professional pool trainer and the founder of The Pool School in the USA.
The reader will get sound advise on how to achieve the perfect playing system
(aim and stroking technique) in Pool. This work, if diligently followed, keeps a
beginner from developing natural problems that cost an untutored player many
years of technique development to play around. Time, which keeps them from
getting better, faster. This Volume also explains the drawbacks and how they
come about. The instruction on overall basic movements before, during and after
the shot is made, explains not only the “how”, but also the reasoning to “why”
this helps. In addition, there is a number of equipment descriptions to include
useful tips involving care, maintenance and usage in which a beginner as well as
the pro will find helpful. Together David Alferi and Uwe Sander have taught
Players and Trainers in the entire Europe and now using the teaching methods in
this book you can learn from the best as well. This book is 192 pages long and
is divided into 6 chapters.
This Book features teachings in:
- Playing Accessories
- Stance and Grip

Basics of Pool and Billiards Book

Sorry but it is just another poor attempt at writing a new book. Other than a couple of visual samples and a couple of things said different the book is just poorly written. Had I picked the book up in a store and skimmed through it I would not have bought it.
great information on the ABC's on the pool game. excellent book for beginner and more advanced players.

I find the reading material both informative and useful for an intermediate player toward advance player in the pool league. I recommend this book for all level of players. It is worth the price that you pay!
I would recommend this item to a friend.
