The best way to learn and understand english

I have been using this ball for a few months now, and it really helps me to understand the english and how well it takes. My cue ball locations have become much better since using this ball in practice and games!

This ball besides the 6 red dots. ((which are kinda cool to see your spin)) Is probably the best cue ball I have ever used. It feels so light and smooth as you stroke through the ball. I even asked my girlfriend to compair my standard cue ball to this one and she even noticed the diffrence. To bad all bar tables didnt have one of these.........

I already had Aramith balls, and this just looked too much fun to pass up on.
Everyone wants to know why the ball has spots and enjoys watching the spin as the cue ball travels the table.

i have played with this ball and it is a good cue ball. the dots are good for vizualizing the spin on the cue ball. i am not exactly sure what the dots do, but i like it better than a plain white ball.

Bought this to go along with my Centennial balls. Much better than an all white cue call. The pro cup ball allows for the shooter to realize if english was applied to the shot. Helps to improve your game by showing how to correct missed shots.

This is a great cue ball, and I love using it to help zero in my stroke sometimes. Also, I bought this to help teach younger players how to get draw, follow, and of course English. I use this cue ball when shooting and practicing all the time. I can't say for sure but it also seems to be more resistant to dings and pits than other cue balls I've had.

The best cue ball you can get; it's great for seeing english applied on the ball and it is made of top materials.

I was completley content with our original Aramith cue ball that came with our ball set, but my 16 year old son talked me into puchasing the one he sees on tv. I have to admit that seeing the english on the cue ball is really cool. It is also nice to have two cue balls to simultaneously shoot the lag with. This cue ball also works well to have spots to hit when practicing english.

We (myself and retired engineer) measured with a digital micrometer and it was within 1/1000 of perfect round. A great visual learning aid in that you can see the amount of side spin when it comes off the rail(s). Very satisfied.

I have loved shooting with one of these any chance I get, and now I own one of my own. The resin is top quality, the dots are some of the best markers you have on a table. This is a great item for any player of any level. It helps you to understand the angles and the amount of english you may be putting on the ball, only problem is that it is not always centered. But thats nothing big at all. I have always used this cue ball when i play, i do not own my own table (yet) but when i go to practice or play league or apa i always have this in my case.

Cueball seems a little lighter than red dot. Also seems to react to english on some shots and not react on others. Could be operator error but not sure I like it right now. I've shot with it about 8 hours so far. It's what the pros paly with so I'm going to keep at it. At this time I would not recommend it unless you are going to play in pro tournaments.

This cue ball works incredibly. It is responsive to any amount of english you might have the desire to apply to it. Plus the measles allow you to follow and read the unwanted english a lot better than just trying to follow the scratches and nicks on a typical house ball.

Big improvement over the regular cue ball we were using. My wife was hitting off center shots that she wasn't aware of.
I purchased the Aramith Pro so she could see the spin (via the red dots, which are embedded in the ball and will not wear) that she was unintentionally putting on the ball.
Definitely a great aid if you are working on putting English on your cue shots.

You can't beat this really. The pros use it too. The "measles" on the ball help you track your application of spin on the ball, which ultimately helps both with learning how much spin to apply, where on the ball to hit, and how hard to hit it. This ball also helps you see the effects of spin after hitting a rail and of "squirt" when you apply English to the ball. It will also help you to see if you're hitting the ball dead center.
It's a top-quality Belgian Aramith cue ball. Perhaps the manufacturer could lower the recommended retail price a little, but it's still a must-buy in my opinion.

Seems of good quality, but rather expensive when compared with the Jim Rampa ball which is less money but of equal structural value. I consider the Aramith to be a novelty and not of much benefit for training.

It might be hard to justify the purchase of this ball when every billiard ball set comes with a cue ball, but it is *definitely* worth it if you're looking to improve your game - no matter what skill level you are. As a beginner-intermediate player, I found that although I had grasped the concepts for making most standard shots, it was a bit difficult to understand not only "how" to strike the cue ball to apply english, but also the specific effect that a particular type of spin (e.g. left english/right english) would have not only on the cue ball, but also on the object ball. The Aramith Pro Cup Cue Ball is *really* great in showing you exactly the cause & effect relationship resulting from striking the ball at different points. I've found that not only do I apply english properly now, but even my bank shots have improved exponentially since I started using this product.
IMHO, if you're looking for a training-aid cue ball, avoid those that have shots "mapped" on them (you know, the ones that look like they have compass imprinted on them, with arrows & letters telling you where to strike the ball for different types of spin); the Aramith Pro Cup may look exceedingly simple, but the red markings are strategically placed all over the surface are all you really need to see precisely how the ball reacts to every shot you make.
My only gripe with this product: the cream-colored surface holds chalk marks extremely easily...in fact, it looks "stained" to the point that you can't get rid of the marks. However, if you're looking to improve your game, pristine and pretty cue balls aren't going to help you like this one will!
