Aiming Solutions Found Here
By Brophog from Chicago on March 28, 2012
This is one part of two pieces to Joe Tucker's Aiming by the Numbers System. It is available as seen here as a set of Aramith Numbered Balls + Booklet or in a Workbook + DVD combo. The one negative I have on this system is that, ideally, both packages should be together. To get the most out of this the quickest it is best to have everything. However, accommodations are made in each package to get around that.

The idea behind the system is to create reference shots by numbering both the object ball and cue ball. The beauty of the system is that it trains yourself not to follow a rigid system, but by giving you the answers to your most missed shots you can finally change your perception of those shots and begin to naturally aim. When you're done you'll not only know where to hit the ball but you'll finally know why it is you've always been hitting that backcut too full.

I can't recommend this enough, whether you get the Workbook combo or the set of Aramith balls.

Not sold on this product
By eburcher from Williamsburg, VA on January 16, 2012
This product is well made, but it falls short in effectively teaching the beginning pool player how to align the shot. The problem is that the markings on the cue ball aren't visible once you get into position to make the shot. The flat training discs are much more effective than the practice balls for envisioning how to aim the shot, but they could be sold for less than $5.00. Interesting concept, but it would be just as effective without the practice balls for a fraction of the cost.

Very helpful
By Dean from , on February 21, 2011
This is a very helpful learning aid for refining where to hit an object ball, and clarifying where to hit the object ball with the cue ball, which can be tricky and deceiving. That has thus far been the biggest help for me. And the booklet is very helpful, well written, and encouraging.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Aiming By The Numbers Method
By Raider from Bronson, Michigan on September 6, 2010
This system actually works and I was amazed at how well it did so. After working with this for only 2 hours and following the first steps it has assisted me in correcting my aiming problem. Unfortunately I do not have more access to a pool table so that I can spend more time at this as I am convinced that it will cure all my aiming headaches over time and as I get deeper into this system. While playing mostly on tables which are 9' long and trying to make cut shot (#9 shot with the system) from 8' away is difficult and it is easy to be off a whole millimeter or more causing a miss. Which is costly in 9-Ball Pool.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

By GLEN from Colorado on May 8, 2010
I have used this system for only a week. I feel more confident during my practice sessions although it has been difficult to adjust from using the "ghost ball" method of aiming. Joe Tucker's is "Third Eye" is useful as well.

shoot with confidence
By Pierre on February 22, 2010
I just bought this one and found out I was lucky the next day it was out of stock. Perfect tool to know your blind spot behind the cue ball. Haven't gone through all of the numbers yet but ever since I practiced the "9" shot or should I say the "ball on the rail shot" I had a 99% accuracy pocketing that ball. Cue ball numbers match and hit the object ball numbers how easy could it be? Impossible shots were made possible.

Know How Degrees of Contact Work
By Joe S from Sahuarita, AZ on January 26, 2010
Aiming by the numbers takes the quess work out of how to aim in degrees. From 1 to 9 the balls present you the shooter with the proper way to make contact even at the most difficult angles.
