The 9 ball rack looks good, pretty much as the picture shows. However, it was way to big. I have standard size billiard balls (I double checked after this purchase) and the rack is simply very large. I have glued in some shims to make the rack usable, but I shouldn't have to do that. I wouldn't recommend.

Tight Rack

Although this item was certainly not expensive, the rack does not provide a "tight rack" for nine ball play. The balls are loose, especially the first ball due to the construction of the angle. My eight ball rack is similar, but all the balls are tight when racked.

i'd still go with one of the self-racking racks in the future, but this does the job for the most part. i wouldn't go with it if you already have an 8-ball rack and have some competency at racking in the first place.
